Teacup dogs inbred to be tiny only live a few years

www.nytimes.com — What most people don't know is that unusually tiny dogs don't live but a couple of years because of inbreeding to achieve the small size. Kiyomi Miyauchi was heartbroken when the Boston terriers she bought suddenly collapsed last year into spasms on the living room floor and died.
